hotels it is!

the june jaunt this year to the canal du midi had to called off because ginge, the older cat, was poorly and on antibiotic for the days we planned to be away. neverthelss we managed to get to marciac for the jazz in early august where the atmosphere and the music were great. however, the camper wasn't. suffice to say we ended up dismantling the awning and cutting it away before we could leave!

on the way home we agreed the end had come for the 'travelling bedroom'. onto ebay it went and a buyer was found. the end of an era and the start of other ways to have holidays....until we can find the dosh for another van? this weekend sees us off to san sebastian, a place we have wanted to return to for some years. the last visit was on a very rainy day and the campsite on the top of a distant hill. we'll be back, we told ourselves, but will stay in a hotel in town so we can explore by day and night. so we are!
