scream!!!!

(6th march oslo) someone up there doesn't want me to see edvard munch! yesterday at bergen we decided (me!) that we would 'do' the five museums that make up the kunstmuseum, well, two of them anyway! the one with the munchs was our first port of call. closed until april due to restoration work. this morning (after arriving in oslo at 6.30!) we trekked out to the munch museet to see him and found they had changed the opening time from 10am to midday! so a bus out to the vigeland park and its odd sculptures and back for a troll around the botanical gardens. back to the museum only to find that the scream is not amongst their collection of munch but in the national gallery! after a sandwich lunch and collecting our cases we booked into our hotel and, after a refreshing shower (none on the overnight sleeper from bergen, poo!) i set off again in my quest to see his most famous work. and did i? did i heck as like! closed! 'it will be open on saturday' the lady said sweetly. grrrrrrrr! oh well, an excuse to come back! :)
