the day was calm and sunny and the walk from victoria reaquainted me with bits of london i hadn't walked around for a long time. a bit of green on the trees would have enhanced the outlook but you can't have everything!
we had driven up from gagnac on sunday (my birthday and mother's day) and spent the night in maidstone prior to visiting my mum and some of the family on monday. gwen, vince and amy joined us for birthday drinks the night we arrived and the next day i got to finally cuddle one of the new nieces born late last year and chat to the older ones too.
while gav and i were gawping and gazing lou had gone off to get jon and we shared a takeaway curry to celebrate being together! added to the fish and chips on the ferry and the pizzas on monday this is becoming a fast food fest!
today is 'hit the shops' day after a breakfast that will include hot cross buns! oh, the things one didn't realise one misses! :)
