well, we've obviously had a busy time as no entries on this blog! saturday went smoothly particularly as the channel was much calmer than anyone expected. mum was very tired when we saw her so we left her to have a nap and went to check in at the hotel. then tom tom led us to the pub via the shopping centre for lou to find a machine to stock up on sterling. the christmas dinner was still in progress when we arrived and chaos reigned. it was wonderful to see so many of the family gathered in the same place and there were mumblings about planning another one next year to celebrate the three decade busting birthdays that are taking place. on sunday we enjoyed a long breakfast with my brother and his family and then it was off to collect jon and visit a much chirpier mum. aldershot next to drop off some stuff at jon's flat and then we headed for brighton. we thought it wold be easy to find a pub for a light lunch en route but three turned us away before we found a delightful tea shop in bletchingly. finally we got ourselves to brighton and gav's flat. a chinese takeaway has become de riguer for the first night family get together chez peacock so that's what we had plus fortune cookies and a calender for 2014!
