oops!

left home earlier than expected feeling very relaxed. as we drove off through beaulieu i began to feel odd, naked in fact. i checked ears for earrings, hands for rings, remembered i'd splashed some perfume on and was wearing knickers.... just after we turned off to brive beyond nonards it occured to me i didn't have my passport. 'passports?' i queried. 'shit' was the reply! lou usually gets them out a good few days before we go off on trips but this time he had completely forgotten and i hadn't noticed the lapse. back we went, utterly confusing ginge and marmalade who rushed to get inside and back to their favourite winter sleeping spots. cruelly we chased them away and having locked up, again, drove off hoping they were only things we'd forgotten! now we're in the b and b hotel at beauvais, replete from our fist ever meal in a buffalo grill (very good) and ready for a good night's sleep. if we ain't got it now, tough! before i turn in, here is the seine this afternoon!
